Hermes Link FAQ
Answers to common questions about Hermes Link — QR-based guest joining, supported languages, pricing, and privacy.
Getting started
What is Hermes Link?
Hermes Link is the business side of Hermes: guests scan a QR code or open a link and join a translated conversation in their own browser, while your team hosts the session from a trusted device. No app is required for your customers.
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. Guests join from any modern browser in seconds — no App Store download, no account, and no staff troubleshooting required.
What devices are supported?
Guests can join from any phone, tablet, or computer with a modern browser. Your team hosts the session from a supported Hermes device.
How do I get started?
Start a free 14-day Starter trial from the Hermes for Business page, or request a demo. If you are interested in Team or Enterprise, contact us through the matching plan page.
How it works
How does a guest join a conversation?
Scan the dedicated Hermes Link QR code (or open the join link), choose a language, and the session opens in the guest’s browser. The host and guest exchange messages in real time.
Which languages are supported?
Hermes Link supports the same 12 languages as Hermes Translator: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), German, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Korean.
Can both sides speak different languages?
Yes. The guest chooses their language and your team chooses theirs — each side reads the conversation in their own language.
Can I see a demo before signing up?
Yes. Walk through a real session with the interactive demo — no signup needed.
Pricing & accounts
How much does Hermes Link cost?
Hermes Link is $14.99 per host per month, with business accounts and seats for your team.
Do my guests pay anything?
No. Guests join free — only your team’s host devices are billed.
How does billing work as my team grows?
Each host device is a seat. Add or remove seats from your business account as your team changes.
Privacy & security
Is a session private?
Yes. Guests never create accounts, and each session uses its own join tokens. Conversations end when the host ends the session.
What happens to conversation data?
Guest sessions run in the guest’s browser and end with the session. See the Hermes Link privacy policy for details on what is exchanged to run a live session.
